The Guardians Book 4; Imperial Assault

A brief update on the position of Imperial Assault

The release of Imperial Assault is getting closer, but I’m afraid it will still require a few more months work before it is ready. Due to personal and family responsibilities in 2013, starting work on the revision and editing of this volume was delayed until this year.

Books four and five, Wizard’s tempest, have had the least amount of work and were only the second drafts. As a result, I am finding many areas require complete re-writing to bring the story in line with changes made to books 1 through 3, to ensure continuity in character and plot development. It is slow but rewarding work as I see it taking shape, and I am now two thirds through the book.

Current forecast for publishing is the end of July.

About the Author

Cathy Vickers 01New author and Indie author of Fantasy by night. Sell vintage and antique items via e-commerce by day. Four grown up children and 2 wee grand children. Three dogs (now two as I lost my oldest companion to cancer) and and a very curios cat who follows us on dog walks.

*Guardian Dragons, Book 1 on Amazon in kindle version and paperback.
*Flight of a Changeling, Book 2 on Amazon as Paperback.

Love to write but if I’m honest I don’t much enjoy the computer work I have to do as an Indie author, it is very time consuming. So many other things I’d much rather be doing. But, there you go, it has to be done so I’d better get working on it.

Author Spotlight: Darren T. Patrick, writer of Fantasy

The Paranormal, Fantasy, Dystopia and Romance Writers and Reviewers Group Featured Author 4th September 2013

About the Author
I’m a fan of storDarren T Patricky. Full stop. Science Fiction & Fantasy, in particular. The ability to create fantastical worlds and explore them through the eyes of heroic or tragic characters has always fascinated me.

I can trace my passion for reading back to my mother, who handed me my first fantasy fiction paperback at age twelve and told me that “I’d like it”. As to writing, I have my father to thank for that. He spent countless hours with me in front of a clunky word processor and told me that “I’d get it.” Turns out all these years later, they were right!

I’m excited to bring my first fantasy fiction trilogy to life – The Rithhek Cage.

When his half-brother, Petr, commits a gruesome crime, Karsen is forced to flee his home, carrying with him a tile depicting a unique artifact—the Ennae—entrusted to his care by the Adept himself. Alone, ailing, and on the run, Karsen must find help, find his way, and decipher the true meaning of the Ennae. For he soon realizes that he is being pursued by the dark brotherhood of the Shroud, and that he has somehow become an unwilling pawn in an ancient conflict.

The Shroud is stirring.

The world of Tholann is in danger.

And young Karsen Morgate is in the middle of it.
